What Is PNR Confirmation Probability?
When your ticket is on RAC or the waiting list, the confirmation probability is an estimate of how likely it is to become CNF (confirmed) by the time the chart is prepared. The checker above reads your live status and compares it with how tickets on the same train, class and quota have historically cleared, then shows your chance as a percentage or a band. What Your Percentage Means
- 90–100% — very likely; relax and track it daily.
- 70–90% — likely; keep a light backup.
- 40–70% — uncertain; hold a confirmed alternative.
- Below 40% — unlikely; rebook now.
For the full breakdown see what 60%, 80% or 95% means and what chance is safe enough to travel.
It Depends on Your Quota
The same number is safer on some quotas than others. A low GNWL clears best; RAC lets you board already; while PQWL and RLWL clear more slowly. See WL confirmation chances by number and how accurate the prediction is.
